Windows XP seven lite 2009 build 2? That is not a windows OS. Please post the build number of your win7 install (click start, type winver, and post build number).Hello! (copied from another forum at http://forums.techarena.in/windows-update/254798.htm) I had the same problem and i can confirm that is not the genuine validation of windows. The only way to solve this problem was to update java runtime... :) If updating Java doesn't work you may want to check your windows update service. If it is completely disabled on your machine you will get error 0x80240036 at windows update. How to fix: Start -> Run... type: services.msc press enter right click on: automatic updates choose: properties click the Log on tab make sure Local system account is checked make sure profile 1 is Activated click General tab make sure start type is Automatic make sure Service status is started. If it is not click start. windows update should now work :-)Hello! version 5.1(build2600.xpsp_sp3_qfe.080814-1300:service pack3) You are running Windows XP SP3 , not Windows 7, and not your made-up OS "windows xp se7en lite 2009 build 2". Please re-post your question in the Windows XP forum (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/threads ) and not the Windows 7 forum to get results that will work with XP! Thanks!Hello!
